The Colonial Society—together with Northeastern University and the Massachusetts Cultural Council—sponsors The New England Quarterly, a historical review of New England life and letters. For over
three-quarters of a century, The New England Quarterly
has disseminated the history and culture of New England throughout
the nation and the world. Published continuously since its founding
in 1928, NEQ is the authoritative source for information about
and insight into the cultural and historical significance of New
England. In addition to essays about New England topics, NEQ brings
to light important documents from library archives, reconsiders
trends and controversies in historical investigation and literary
criticism, and, through essay and book reviews, evaluates the
latest offerings on New England subjects. To subscribe to NEQ
or to contact its editors, go to the journal's website at http://www.newenglandquarterly.org
