JQ TO JONATHAN BLISS

    5 September 176873

    September 5, 1768

    Sir

The inclosed Letter I left, about a month since, with Mr. Brackett, to be conveyed to Sheriff Brown. To my surprise, he returned it to me this morning, no Opportunity of conveyance having presented. I am told, that through your hand, the Letter will probably arrive safe to Mr. Brown, and have, therefore, taken the freedom to put it under cover to you. As the time of service will be out the first Tuesday of October, you will be pleased to send it forward, as soon as you can with convenience. An opportunity of returning a similar favour will be, with pleasure, embraced by your very humble servant,

    Josiah Quincy junr.
