JOSEPH REED TO JQ

    27 October 1774539

    Philadelphia Oct. 27th 1774

    Dear Sir

When I wrote you yesterday the Captain of the Vessel which carrys this had resolved to sail immediately but having been induced to wait in Order to carry the Address of the Congress to the King gives me an Opportunity of sending you the Additions which we have since had from the Press of their Proceedings. I congratulate you my dear sir on the Spirit[,] Firmness and Unanimity of this great Assembly, the most respectable ever known in this Country. I am with real Regard

    Your Affectionate and obliged,

    Sincerely,

    Jos. Reed
