    I have received yours dated this Day, & am sorry for the Contents thereof. I can do nothing in a Business of this kind without the Advice & Assistance of the Council. I shall communicate your Letter to them on Wednesday next in the forenoon.1 In the mean Time I shall be glad to have the most exact Account of this Riot that can be procured, and especially the Names of the Persons who flung Stones, if they can be obtained. If a Discovery of this kind can be made, the Offenders shall be brought to Justice.
