    Dear Frank,

I have recd yours of Sepr 9,1 & can give no better ansr to it, than to beg of you to come here as soon as possible: for advantage is like to be taken of your Absence. As soon as you come here, whether we are to agree or disagree, things shall be settled in the best manner they can. For I will not live in continual ^altercation^ with one I love. But, I again repeat, it is absolutely necessary at all Events that you should come here as soon as you can.

    I am, &c.

    Mr F Bernard.
