252 | To Thomas Fitch

    Boston Decr. 15. 1763

    Sir

I have just received a letter from Genl. Gage,962 wherein He requires assistance from the Governments of New England to put a speedy end to the Indian War. I shall recommend to the Assembly of this Province to join in giving such Assistance. But as I apprehend our Assembly will want to know the resolution of your Government before they form their own, I should be glad to be informed what you propose to do. Or if you should think it best for these two to act in concert, I would endeavour to promote such a measure. I think it very much the Concern of New England that vigorous measures should be taken for preventing this flame from Spreading

    I am &c

    The Honble Govr Fitch963
