103 Receipts for the Newdigate Annuity

    [1694–1697]

    Boston 29th May 1694

    Received then of Col. Samuel Shrimpton1 the Summe of Twenty pounds in full for five years annuity of Mr. Newdigates to Harvard Colledge, being from the 26th of March 1689 to the 26th day of March last past, that the Said Col. Shrimpton hath had the Said Newdigates farm in his possession, should have ben five pounds per annum, but being paid in mony, four pounds accepted. I Say received for the use of said Harvard Colledge.

    Received this 5th April 1695 four pounds in full for one yeares annuity of Mr. Newdigates ending the 25th of last March. I say received for the use of Harvard Colledge abovesaid.

    Received this 3d April 1697 eight pounds in full of two years annuity of Mr. Newdigates ending the 25th of last month. I say received for the use of Harvard Colledge.
