191 Thomas Hollis Makes a Gift to Harvard

    E. Receipt, John White to George Craddock

    Boston July 11th 1719. Received of Mr. George Craddock the sum of Two Hundred and five Pounds nineteen shillings and Three Half pence in Bills of publick Credit and three Promissory notes of William Downes, one to Pay Thirty Pounds in four months, another to Pay Thirty Pounds in eight months, and the third to Pay Thirty Pounds Seventeen Shillings in Twelve months after the 26th of June last to Mr. John Leverett President of Harvard Colledge, or his order, being as he saith the nett Produce of a Cargoe he lately received from Mr. Thomas Hollis of London having given three Receipts of this Tenour and Date, I say received per me.
