Rowley Lands Papers. On November 20, 1735, the Corporation Committee on Rowley Lands drafted articles of agreement of partition and division. A copy is in Rowley Lands Papers, and a version (copied into College Book III) is printed in CSM Publications, xv. 292–297. The Corporation accepted this and on December 1, 1735 voted that the Rowley Lands be sold. See CSM Publications, xv 1. 642–643. This Statement of Sale, probably drawn up in the spring of 1736, shows what lands had been sold. See also Amos E. and Emily M. A. Jewett, Rowley, Massachusetts … 1639–1850 (Jewett Family, Rowley, 1946), p. 49.

Another version of this item is in Rowley Lands Papers. It is endorsed: “Col. Appleton’s account of Rowley Lands sold by him 1736”. This was probably Daniel Appleton, of Ipswich, who sold other Rowley lands later. This version also adds at the end: “By cash received of Northend, Lambert, Migghill, Smith and Palmer, Hobson and Lull each 5 […] – 2 –”.
