    Oct. 6. The ^ Brn of ye Chh were desired to stay, at ye request of

    the Deacons. Deacon Bond acquaint-

    ed ye Chh that the late Deacon Simon

    Tainter left a Legacy of 50£ old Tenr

    to this Chh, and the Affair having fallen

    into his Hands, he had let ye Money to

    his Son, Benj. Tainter; but ye Time was

    up, and he wanted to know ye mind

    of ye Chh relative to what he shd do

    with it next: that he did not indeed

    desire yy shd vote upon it now, but that

    they would take it into Considern agst

    next Lecture Day.

    Concluded wth Blessing.

    24. The Chh was stayd after ye Exercises

    to hear the Return of the Comtee wc were sent

    by ye Chh to Mrs Eunice Rice. wc was for

    Substance, that She could make no other

    Satisfaction to this Chh than what she

    had offerd.  Dated Westbo Oct. 4.  1773.

    Voted, that Brr Benj. Tainter go to the

    Secretarys office at Boston & endeavr

    to obtain Copys of ye Evidences against her

    when ye Case was laid before ye Govr

    & Council, by Vertue of wc her Husband

    obtaind Divorce from her.
